Originally from Normandy, France, Anaïs L.F. draws from her maritime roots a profound fascination with fluidity, texture, and the movement of water. Her academic background in Information and Communication Sciences initially focused on analysis and theory. In 2018, this intellectual journey found its true release in painting, marking a definitive shift from the constraints of words to the raw freedom of the gesture.

Far from literal illustration, her practice is anchored in radical abstraction where the canvas becomes a receptacle for energy. Working through sedimentation, Anaïs layers raw matter and plays with transparencies to reveal what lies beneath the surface. At the core of her practice lies a Signature Blue, deep and abyssal, acting as a visceral anchor even as her work evolves towards gold accents, telluric contrasts, or rich, structured blacks. Her work captures the precise moment where pigment merges with shifting light.
